Updates : 2005Saturday, December 31, 2005Updated! Page 77, vote incentives, poll Whoa! A miracle! It's a page, and on the last day of the year! And a happy new year to you all - what a dark way to kick it off. January begins a long month of attempted novel-writing and college semester 4, on my part. This means Millennium semi-hiatus, as in "I might update but don't get your hopes up". Things shouldn't be too bad, but I won't be pumping out two-page updates, that's for sure. Of course you can help me!! And this is by doing guest art/pages! Yeah, this is super-last-minute, but I'll attempt to fill the void somewhat. I'd love your help, otherwise Millennium will be a wasteland of no-pages for a month. It'd be super-fab to have eight guest things to put up, but any amount helps me muchly!  Finally, new incentives! (Random notes to self: Remember Mune interview, dev section, WPs) Monday, December 26, 2005 Updated! This picture! (Slightly Late) MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! And to all the rest of you...Happy Hannukah/Kwanzaa/Solstice/other assorted holidays! Fun fact: The Solstice is observed in the Millennium world! For them it's an incredibly spiritual time, and full of celebration. That's not what I depicted in this pic, however, no... In fact, I'm not sure WHAT this is. But since they won the Christmas Couple vote (by a landslide), Ronou and Sabér are here... Looks like they partied too hard, or at least Ronou did, yes yes. Garland, ornaments, and mistletoe... probably one of those stories best left untold. (Really, it took me FOREVER to come up with something, then...this???) Several coloring styles were played with, and originally this was very differently colored (which is why a few things'll look off), but I like this a lot more ultimately. @_@ There aren't any new incentives still. You know why? No doodling. I might put up some things tomorrow, though. I was thinking of stealing one of Melii's ideas, but I won't! I've spent all my time sleeping and finishing random pictures like Chibi Mune. It was Mune's birthday on the 16th, and I forgot! So I did it really quick. It looks weird now that I look at it again. Random: My biggest gift this Christmas (besides a pewter dragon ) was a Nintendo DS with Mario Kart DS! Yay! I'm gonna attempt to WiFi when college starts up again, so I'll be asking for friends codes and whatnot. Pages 75, 76; fanart; NEW Interview section! Poll, links, info sections Pages 75 and 76 officially close this scene! Pages 77 and 78 delve into a darker realm... I don't know if I'll be able to update both of those at the same time, but my pages do work well in pairs lately. With these two pages also comes INTERVIEWS! Or one, at least. Finally, for your viewing pleasure, an interview with White Lightning, the self-proclaimed "bishie horse". See what he has to neigh! There's also new fanart today! Check it out - it's my secret santa gift. Then there're new links: Psychoteers and Paladin! I'd intended to read those for a long time, and I still haven't read 'em all yet... Oh, and I tweaked a few of the Info sections. Notably put a new picture of myself in my section, because the old one was almost two years old. Also, small tweaks to the Comic info and FAQ sections. Friday, December 16, 2005 Updated! New layout! Fanart! New layout. WHEE! If anything looks broken, force refresh a few times. A lot of things on the site (like some images) may look out of place for a bit. Or just plain wonky. I'll get around to fixing that sometime! Hopefully soon! I still have a lot to do in general, though. And some further tweaking to the layout... All will be done in due time (when I get Photoshop working again ._.). The great things about this layout are: -I can easily change the color scheme. Yee! I'm in a very "blue" mood, though. -I can easily change the background image to something also fitting, which I probably will. -It's left-aligned! Yay! Also, it's not as ugly as my old ones. Woohoo! Hopefully I'll have pages 75 and 76 up soon (I'll add them both at once, though they might be my last double-update for a while). NOTE! The SHOUTBOX is now on the Splash page... So if you don't like splashes, but like shoutboxes, you'll have to brave its horror. Also, the Xepher box is there, too. Right now the splash looks crappy, too. Yeah, I'll get to that... EDIT: I added a "launch shoutbox" link below the vote buttons for those of you who're...lazy! I might move the full thing back to the main page sometime, though. Maybe. New fanarts! If it takes a while I'll post it up with 72. We're transitioning into the next scene here, and it's exciting for me. *started lining 72 as well...* I replaced the WCL incentive. Vote!! I still haven't gotten the dev gallery updated. Maybe next time. Don't really feel like it. The semester ends, and I go lethargic. :( BUT I did update SKETCHES so look there... Stuff So, this is the new month. You know what that means?! The lists reset! Vote! Vote your pants off! Well, keep 'em on, but vote anyway. But you need a reason to vote, huh? OK then, how about this preview of page 70?  I actually started lining this in September. Yeah... And started coloring it, and stopped. After what I've gone through since then (artwise), Millennium pages will seem really, really easy when I start up again. Next Monday afternoon, my winter break officially starts. I think I will devote that week to making Millennium pages. <3 As well as the new layout. Either that or I'll end up watching the entire series of Escaflowne and Peacemaker Kurogane. In case you don't know what happened, well, on my birthday there was a bit of a misunderstanding and my space went kaboom. I applied to Xepher.net, a very generous artsy hosting place. And then I got accepted! Yay! It took a while, but it was worth it. Finally, I have stable hosting and a stable address - Senshuu.com! That day I was drowning myself in classwork and crying from lack of webspace. But all is well! Nothing Temporary Hiatus?! That's right. I have no time to draw Millennium right now, so I'll be taking a short break to sort out all this college stuff. (Note to self: Take only 4 classes next semester.) I feel constantly pressed for time, and these projects are fun but all-consuming. I feel a bit creatively drained, but I miss drawing Millennium and will resume the Wednesday/Sunday update schedule whenever I get time... hopefully in a week, not over two. I'll miss you! Despite the long weekend (hope everyone enjoyed themselves), I didn't really get much done. Page 64, incentives I just realized this whole forest thing started A YEAR AGO. Last September. Now... I'm really glad I made this thing its own Arc, 'cause it IS long (and Sabér-focused, yay!), but I wish I'd gotten it done in half the time, for what it is. But then it wouldn't look as good now, would it? I've got up to page 69 sketched right now, so a decent queue. I drew page 67-69 using body guidelines so my anatomy can stop SUCKING so badly, and it works! So expect better pages after these next two. Although, knowing what I know now, they shouldn't be too bad comparitively. Vote incentives? We got 'em! The month is fresh, so make extra sure you vote! Sunday, August 14, 2005 Updated! Page 60, stuff Whee, page. More about it in the page notes section - I hope you're reading! I also redid the Art and Support pages, too. (Art has sketches and normal art on one page, now.) In important news, updates will now be on Sundays and Wednesdays. If I ever miss a Wednesday update, there'll always be one page on Sunday. Or possibly two. I've also made an integral (sort of) change to page 58... How could I forget Sabér's scar. (I also fixed other pages needing this change.) I did a lot of sketching recently. The climax of this Arc is gonna be cool. <3 I'm also doing a lot of planning for Arc 2. I mean, I already have it written, but there may be changes starting with that arc, like: -White borders; I don't like black as much for some reason. I might not change this though. Hmm. -Consistent page size; so far, all my pages (except 4 and 5 o_o) are 800 pixels long with an inconsistent width. -Lineart in Painter (again): Scratchboard Tool makes lineart look really manga-ish. And as it is now, Millennium could stand to be more manga-like. -Other small steps to make the comic look still professional but still lazy! Yay! Don't forget to vote! I think this means I officially did 10 pages the span of this entire 3-month summer break. GO ME! In all rights, I should have done 3 times as much and be in the start of Arc 2, but there were a lot of other things I got excited about this summer. Like IP, my job, driving, and now my collaborative project. At least my art has improved, and I have learned things.Anyway, I like this page. And so should you. And you should like the poll, too. I'm breaking from frantically working on IP since I wrote the first ~very long~ volume, so hopefully I can do more pages in the weeks before college! And play FF7. Yay FF7! Neg has done the next page of the Fight Omake (which I almost forgot about to be honest), and it's great! But I'm not putting it up yet because it's her vote incentive. I will color the first five (page 0 will be full color, the other 4 grey), add the logo to the remaining pages, and leave it at that! No, I won't erase history. Yes, I used to actually draw like that! Sunday, July 17, 2005 Updated! Thanks 25k, 2 fanarts, links I feel so loved!!! Thanks to my friends' support, I've now gained over 25,000 hits!!! I also have nearly 20k visits as well! (Give or take a few! When I got that counter, I had to estimate! ^^;;;) Thank you, all!! Show a bit of appreciation for our strange-haired main character/future savior of the island! I have a few Ronou things to display here! Most of which are from FANS, which is great, because I have nothing more than that random sketch with the cheap RONOU DAY plastered onto it.      The first three are from the wonderful and sweet SNAGA of Unchained *points to affiliates* and are sneak peaks at a little CAMEO Ronou is making in her awesome comic, as a lord of the council! ...Hey, isn't Ronou a bit...unsuited for that? Then we have my first picture from Klobber, a wonderfully creative man who's given a cute and colorful air to our main character! He's so happy, lookie. (And just so you know, Aster is what he ~and a few others~ calls me.) And that last pic is from Jo, another crazy and supportive friend of mine *points to affiliates again* who apparently made Ronou*hair out of yarn and gave it to his kitty. It's the new fashion, spreading like wildfire among pets of the nation!! The TWC incentive has changed to the full version of that random sketch up there. May take a bit to show up, because TWC is dumb. The WCL incentive is still Ronou in all his near-nakedness. (Turnover sheet) If you want to contribute to Ronou Day, go right ahead! Saturday, July 9, 2005 Updated! Super Sabér Filler (#3) EDIT!: ^^ I sounded a bit negative earlier today, but I'm feeling better. I really do love this story, I just need to stop being lazy with it and up the ante. I might take a slight break after page 59. College starts soon and all. But, I just wanted to post a few things you can expect from Millennium and this site in the near future: -Lots of new faces! -Maps (I've been shaping the terrain for a YEAR) -Interviews with the Millennium cast! (By whom? Name starts with a "Y", ends with "asha") ...Not only that, but Official Ronou Day is Wednesday, where we give a bit of credit to our strange-haired main character! So look out for that! :3 ~ I still haven't finished 66, because... stuff. Well, I've been working on IP, which I really like, and it's randomly coming out better than Millennium. Like, much better. Looks great in print, too (I'm doing it print-quality, so the pages take a while. I have the first four done). Coming back to Millennium and it being crappy in comparison makes me sad... I think it's because I started off with this part (the whole forest ordeal), but you know, it couldn't come any later. Maybe I should have had more fun things first. Things to consider if I ever redo Millennium (which I only would...if it were going to be print, too). When Arc II starts, I'm going to make a few small changes. It'll be nice from then on. I'm tired of this Arc, personally. (My favorite part? The end. Seriously.) Though the events ARE quite eventful... ...So, Sabér filler for you. No new vote incentives this time around, but you should vote anyway because Sunday, July 3, 2005 Updated! Yasha Guest Page 2 Yes. I don't have a page today. I also wasn't in a horribly artsy mood yesterday, which is why I didn't work on 56... Here's a second guest page by Yasha (can we say "trump card"?), which references back to this picture. I might draw something later today, whether it be fanart, a page sketch, or 56, but Monday and Tuesday I plan on throwing art to the wind as I celebrate the 4th and focus on work like mad. Page 53, TWC vote incentive You know, I think I'm gonna start enforcing rules on myself. "If I don't finish page __ by tonight, I won't eat." I don't mind if I go hungry, though... Maybe less intarweb would help. But really, my schedule's weeeird. Luckily I have more GPs by Yasha in tow... (I'm not linking her name because you should know who she is by now >:O if not, check the old updates!!! And the second affiliate!!) I changed the TWC vote to the first panel in color...because it looked cooler. And rarely does my color = cool. Also, there's fire and you really can't tell if it's not colored. Oh, just so you know, his blood IS red... I just made it a dark grey so it'd be assuredly dark whenever I greyscaled the page. I need to go back and do that in older pages, too. I had some better incentives in mind, but I forgot them. Will probably have more next update. And a better poll question... Still working on IP and stuff for people...So if less updates happen, that's why. Sorry everyone. In the meantime, go read Pandect and the Tankhat comics... Unless you're offended by sex...and shounen ai...and violence. Not that those are rendered in a horridly crude way in those comics (or else I wouldn't love them) but, you can never be too careful. Wednesday, June 15, 2005 Updated! Yasha guest strip, links, WCL vote incentive Today we have a totally random guest page from Yasha... You should know that Sabér LOVES his flowers. Dearly. Like sisters. I actually have a lot going on this week, so I don't know when 53 will be up. I do have up to 57 sketched, though, so that's good. And GOOD NEWS! I may actually begin working on my other major comic project, Improbable Probability, very soon. Just sketching a few pages in my spare time (sketch > CG), I find it's a lot more liberating than Millennium in some ways... (In fact, its pages come out better, and I'm not even sure why.) I love both my stories, though. This is going to be a print-quality, manga-style comic, so I plan on making it as good as I can. That means digitone practice. Lots of it. Anyway, if you vote on Webcomicslist you will see my first "page" of IP...which is actually a pic that will have text with it. It's supposed to just be an outline, too... Page 52, page 2, TWC vote incentive I give myself a pat on the back whenever I finally finish a page. *pat pat* Good girl, Senshuu. I'm a little sad when I can't do more than one a week, but so it goes. I made up for it, though! Page 2 is now randomly greyscaled. Why not start with 0 or 1, you ask? Or even the prologue's cover? Well, the cover and 0 are going to be totally revamped, and today = lazy day. And I just kind of skipped 1. So, check 2 out.  I'm gonna keep blue-ing pages like this. I might just start blue-ing the old pages too, but that makes something else I'll have to go through again. I've had on and off issues with my job. On the one hand, I love it. On the other hand, my parents (without whom I can't do it, due to navigational issues) don't quite as much. Hence the issue. And being the kind of person I am, I always want to do my best. Issues here and there, and I end up doing things to take my mind off things, like playing Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door or watching Golden Girls reruns rather than working on the comic. It seems like people don't like splash pages. Or they don't know what one is. I like mine. If I get rid of it it'll make things easier on me in one way, but I'd also need to figure out where to put that FH banner and other things. Don't want too many banners. ._. Eugh. Don't forget to vote... I changed the TWC vote incentive to an old sketch I found of Mune. It must have been done in mathematics last semester. I quickly updated how the navigation works, since no one can seem to find anything, sometimes. It's all right there now, so if you get lost I think I'll have to hurt someone. *holds up your favorite bear plushie* I love my subpages too much to axe them, so they're still there, and the big text is still linked. No quick links for Characters, you lazy. I worked hard on that subpage image. Guess who did her first guest page? Yes, just the other day, I did a page for Unobsequy. Page 73 in fact! It's digital toned. I might tone 52 (lineart's almost done - sorry it's taking so long) like this. A little experimental, you know. Unless that'd be too unsettling, in which case I'll wuss out and grey shade it, too. I think it'd look good in tone, though. Who's next? Hmmm... Earthsong maybe? One more thing! No more playing Final Fantasy 7 from 4 AM to sunrise, personal human interaction, and I'm still very bad at managing my time. So bad, in fact, that I'm already working on 52 while I still can. I really should do more pages in advance. We have a slight update to the FAQs and the Development section. We also have new vote incentives and a new poll! Get your pointers to clickin'! TWC ~ A fake double-page magazine spread made in InDesign as one of my last projects in Typography, a few months ago. It's on an anime/game called Sukisho. It uses my two favorite colors, as does the series' primary characters. VOTE! The list reset for the month! WCL ~ The large-size and much better quality version of the layout Sabér head. (Which is NOT arbitrarily placed, I'm just having coding issues...) Too bad Buzz is dead. It was GREAT. I cosplayed. I spent $100. I obtained a Yaoicon shirt. I commissioned a sketch. I'll be posting a big fat con report whenever I have time--public on my livejournal perhaps, since I'm too lazy to do more html than image tags. Anyway, I've come to a conclusion. No updates until the end of April/beginning of May. The semester's ending, and I reeeaaally want to put a lot of effort into my final projects. Even now, what I have to do is demanding a lot of time. It's fun, though. Once the semester ends, I'll be able to put more effort into this, make more pages, new layout... and perhaps launch my side story, Improbable Probability... I hope. I'm definitely going to have a new page and new vote incentives for you on Sunday. Who knows about next Sunday, though--will I be finishing class projects? Other pictures? Lazy from a week of virtually nothing? And the Sunday after that, I will be returning from MTAC. I just found out one of my friends is cosplaying Chii there...<3 Anyway, here is my semi-mid-week blab, since I can't let you have a week of boredom: I've found out something about webcomics, being so active in the wonderous community lately (I think? I'm sure shoutboards fear my name now...), and that's that you've gotta really support them when they're starting! I let this one rot for a few months when I started it... (literally skipped two months) not a good start, no, but it also wasn't as big a deal back then either. XD; Obviously. Promotion at the start of your comic = good idea. It's a lot easier to support comics from the start, too, which is why I'm tracking some like maaad. <3 And watching the progression is just wonderful. Then there are the more "known" comics, the tried-and-true, few of which I've gotten to read but need to at some point, some way. (Short attention span, yo...) The ones that inspire you. The ones you keep hearing about, that even reference each other. The ones that you hope to one day be linked by. Hee hee. Reading comics like those keeps me going. And so does reading newer comics, supporting them like mad so one day they'll be just as known! Support is all good, so do all you can to support webcomics! If you don't read the Update Blog, you might miss something important. Even quasi-important. With that said... It's almost mid-March, and I still want to type 2004. Anyway! As promised, I bring the Millennium poster (at 15% its original size) which I turned in yesterday! Apparently my logo needs to be bigger to capture the audience. I think Ronou's dark blue eyes throws everyone off. The "VA" names also don't flow as well as they could, although I liked their arrangements. Oh well. Fun fact ~ I also spent an hour at FedEx Kinkos trying to get this printed. What part of "12x18 paper" don't they get? I'm making another version for my own amusement and to sell (and/or give away) at Middle Tennessee Anime Convention, which I will be attending April 1st and 2nd (meaning there likely won't be an update that weekend ^^;). It will have all the unfinished pictures, including those I posted Sunday (which are no longer available to J00...unless you ask me to see them again <3). On top of that, I'll be trying to sell pictures of Chii of Chobits and The Prince of Katamari Damacy... ...so, updates this month might be all-over slow because I'm doing these things on top of classwork. But still. Even if I do get a job, I won't have any homework, and I still tend to stay up all night even after being out all day. I'm gonna try to get a lot done. And the reason for that is, well, it looks good. It's one of few pages I've pulled off a sort of cinematism on, PLUS there's backgrounds (bet you missed those--yay, indications of area and space!) AND action. I am pleased with myself.Aside from spending time doing many other things today (practice driving, visits, class projects), I'm also a little shaky right now. I've used Bravenet for 6 years, through all my infinitely crappy personal sites. It's changed a lot but is basically the same. Dependable, I guess. I'll fix it up more later. Sign please~? Not much going on. Spent all of yesterday playing Katamari Damacy...and when I say all, I mean all. (No life. No immediate homework.) Highly reccommended. Now, THIS is interesting. I MAY not get to work on page 46 this week. Why? Well, besides creating a vector image of a new (unrelated) character for my Introduction to Software class (which I plan on beefing up as much as possible), I will be in the process of creating a Millennium movie poster for my Typography class. I want to make it look really professional (and possibly very anime ~ my style doesn't scream anime, but...), and it requires all the movie poster criteria (including VAs). So yeah. <3 Another thing for you to look out for. Speaking of school projects, y'know my TWC vote incentive? It's different now. Let's just see what I did, shall we...?! ~Added page 43 (a given); ~Added 1 fanart (Lady Yates );~Axed the dated archive, which was completely useless, so now there's only one; ~Super-fixed the remaining archive (in small ways that don't matter to you...like adding another "0" to the pages!); ~Removed more useless dates in various places; ~Fixed links; ~Updated ALL the About sections (except Author really... but READ WORLD NOW O_O); ~SUPER-updated the Developmental Art section--go see it all!! I even have more to add eventually, but my scanner's too small to scan 9x12inch paper pads...blah!! ...And it all took a day to do. But wait! Senshuu isn't done! Getting back into the swing of things... Got classes, gor projects, got a ROSE account. But that doesn't say half of it. Anyway, I could go on random tirades, but I have enough to type about already. This is the 10th page of the Fight omake between ASPS, Earthsong, Redemption, and more recently Millennium. YATES, I hope you like this. I definitely made up for Willowblob. And as for the rest of you, this took forever, so yeah. I hope you like it. XO For this historic event, I typed up the Ten-Page Summary, for all you people who may be lost because I'm not hosting the omake here (although I will soon). TEN-PAGE SUMMARY Willow dresses up as Wruckendain, causing Southern Crown to be confused! Mr. BAD Man teleports in and mistakes Willow for Wru, while Ryan's hair goes out of control. Willow runs away crying only to return with Nanashi, who is ready to do some beating with the infamous Poodle Stick. Unfortunately, there is a mix-up, and SC receives the hurt rather than Mr. BAD Man. Around this time, Mikalo comes in just in time to see his FAVORITE person be beaten, and also mistakes Wru for a "lady". This results in more confusion, as Willow takes the "compliment" for herself and latches to Mikalo. Meanwhile, it is found that the cause of Leaves of Mass Destruction™ is Ronou and Mune, who sit atop a tree to survey. A wookiefied Ry is carried away by a hawk, and a zombiefied SC attacks Mikalo. A kiss between Mikalo and Willow (though issued by Willow) causes SC to go more psycho than a zombie and knocks them into the tree, causing Ronou and Mune to fall on top of everyone. Mikalo goes antisocial and blows everyone away, resulting in another shower of leaves. After everyone's recovery, Willow makes assumptions of another woman and (dramatically) pulls out the anvil of Mikalo's doom. In a burst of mercy, however, Nanashi stops her, and the anvil accidentally topples onto Ronou. Yeah... You're probably more confused now. And...what ever happened to Willow's Wru*outfit? (Even when I drew her normal one wrong?) Who knows. This and more...is the magic of omake. Please go see the previous nine pages.
